Workin' At the Car Wash!

We had gorgeous weather this weekend, Praise the Lord! It has seemed to me that the weekends since Drew has been born have been either cold or rainy or both, so I was especially thankful for the beautiful spring weather & mild temps.

Since the weather was so nice I was finally able to make it to one of Jack's flag football games on Saturday morning! (It was the 4th game of the season.) Drew was really good at the game & enjoyed lots of time snuggling with Pop & Nana. I was worried that Darcy might be cranky as she had been giving me a hard time last week (we found out on Friday that she had an ear infection in both ears!) but the combination of sunshine, outdoors, grandparents & antibiotics were good for her! She was great at the game!
Darcy enjoying some time with Nana!
I sure am glad that I was able to make it to this game as Jack scored his team's only touchdown! It was a running play & he ran it all the way down the field for the score! I was so proud of him & he was SO excited! He has really been working hard on his game this season & it was so fun to watch him play.
He...could....go....all....the.....way......

TOUCHDOWN!
Running back to high-five Daddy (didn't get that on camera!)When we got home it was so pretty out that the girls & I decided we would give the van a good washing! It had been covered in pollen all week & I had intended to get it washed when we got gas, but the carwash at our gas station was under repairs! While Jeff took Jack to a birthday party, we got out the hose & filled our buckets with soapy water. Here are some photos of the girls giving the van a good scrub down! (Really I just thought that they would enjoy playing in the water...that the car was cleaned is a total fringe benefit!)
Starting at the front...
Who needs rags when you can just use your hands!
Darcy likes to pour the water out... And jump in it (watch out Karate Kid!)
And pretend she is in River Dance (think lots of fancy footwork...can't be captured in still photography!)Drew provided moral support!More scrubbing... All the way down the sides...
Darcy has this part under control! Now for the other side...

When bored with washing the car, the girls try to see if they can both fit in the bucket!

Oh, and since I am such a terrible blogger, I didn't even post last week on Drew's 1 month Birthday! Can you believe a month has passed already since this precious guy came into our lives? I can't believe it, but we are all completely in love with him!
Here is Drew on Easter Sunday 2 days before his 1 month birthday!
And here he is on his 1 month birthday posing with the Build-A-Bear the kids made for him before he was born! Drew thinks it makes a great pillow!

Epilogue on the car washing: So the car actually came out all nice & shiny & clean! We 3 girls did a great job & I enjoyed my clean car for about 2 days...only to have it totally carpet bombed with bird poop on Tuesday morning when I went to Bible study! I had to run it through a car wash on the way home it was SOOOOOO covered with poop! C'est la Vie!
