Our Summer in Pictures--Fourth (and Final) Installment

Okay, you can stop the happy dance, yes, I do believe I will be able to wrap up our summer picture series in this last installment covering the first half of August...and, hey, it's only mid-October! (I actually thought I posted this last week, but was having trouble with blogger & found it today in my saved drafts!) I am considering "our summer" to be our summer break, so even though it felt like summer until last week, mid-August was officially Back-to-School time & thus our sweet summer came to a close...but I have to say it went out with a bang! We spent a wonderful long weekend at the lake & invited some good friends to join us. And, do you remember the garden themed baby shower that I hosted for a friend on my kids' last day of school? Well, as a fitting bookend, I hosted a baby shower for another sweet friend in August on the last day of our summer break!

And I know that we did other stuff in August, but as it turns out (and to your great relief, I'm sure), I didn't take pictures of any of those other fun things...and being that this is a summer picture series...well, you see where I'm going! 

Anyway, here are the photos of our wonderful lake weekend with our good friends Reggie, Jessica & Rhett.

Now for the lovely photos of the Pink or Blue Baby Shower for my sweet friend Erica! They were expecting their 3rd baby, already have a girl & a boy, and so decided to be surprised about #3s gender! It was a lot of fun doing a Pink or Blue themed shower! I designed an invitation & even had the table divided into a pink side & a blue side.

A pink punch & a blue punch, pink & blue candles, pink & blue hydrangeas (Erica's favorite!)...

Quite a delicious spread of food...thanks to my sweet friends Nikki, Jennifer & Lisa who made most of it! 

 A gorgeous pink & blue hydrangea cake! (Pink & blue M&Ms & jelly beans, too!)
 
 Favors include an assortment of pink & blue wrapped chocolates and pink & blue tea light candles.

 I love that you can see Erica's sweet baby bump in the background of this photo! Looks JUST like a basketball under her shirt! The shower was 6 weeks before her due date, but her sweet baby decided to come 3 weeks early!

And so that's a wrap on Our Summer in Pictures! Whew, I hardly know what to blog now that I have finished that up...oh yeah, I guess I will just start in September & catch up to now...maybe I will be up-to-date by Thanksgiving...or Christmas...or New Year's at the latest! I promise! 

Oh, and stay tuned next week...I have my ultrasound on Monday...so maybe there will be a little pink or blue theme on the blog next week! (I would appreciate your prayers that the baby is right on target & growing strong & healthy.)
