Bring on the Ice, Baby!

Despite the forecast for "wintry mix" over the weekend, Thursday was a regular balmy NC winter afternoon with temps in the 50s or 60s! Due to an ice maker malfunction, I had an overload of ice that I had to get rid of, so I put it in a big bin out on the deck & let the kids have at it with the meat pounder or whatever else they wanted to use! Being North Carolina, a forecast of winter weather does not always mean that we are going to actually GET snow...so I thought I would let the kids have some fun in the ice just in case the wintry weather system passed us by...so here are the kids on Thursday afternoon...no coats, no socks, enjoying the mild temps & playing in the ICE...and what a difference a day makes, as it so happened we DID get snow/ice on Friday night, so we have enjoyed playing & sledding in REAL ice today...stay tuned for those pictures tomorrow!
PS: I have no idea what is up with the girls & the pacifiers...they found them in a drawer & thought it would be fun to play "babies" & chew on them...they are now in the trash--the pacifiers, of course, not the girls!

What a fun idea. The kids looked like they were having a blast! I hope you all had fun playin' in the real ice and snow yesterday!

I love these pictures. Especially the one with your dog and the one of Drew over that one. I would love to know what they are thinking about.

Your comment on my post made me laugh. Isn't that crazy? I thought for sure that you would use "Ice Ice Baby" on this post. :-)

BTW, not many people are reading my blog so you could have used that title without anyone noticing. Well, Ms. Aggie. But she's so sweet - she wouldn't mind!

Love your pictures - keep them coming!
