Here is a little look back at the moving process...I have to say it is NOT something that I enjoy, but the work is well worth it! The kids have really transitioned well & have dealt with the stress of moving even better than I have I believe...to them it has been one big adventure!
Packing up the house...made for some good fort building...I actually think this was to barricade the stairs so Drew would not climb up!

Baby is ready to go!
Bye-bye!
Our last dinner at the old house!
What the kitchen looked like...
Moving day was TOO CRAZY for me to take any pictures, but I did manage to snap this shot of the truck backing down our new loooonnng driveway...can you see the snow? It was a steady snow all day long! But it was so pretty & didn't stick all day long!
First dinner in the new house!!! (Courtesy of the ever lovely & wonderful Aja!)
The sweet dessert!
And our first morning in the new house we woke up to a pretty snow-covered lawn!!! What a sweet gift from God and a very fitting way to mark a fresh start in a new home! (And in true North Carolina fashion, the sun was shining & the snow was completely gone by the afternoon!)
Sammy feels at home!
Zoe feels at home!
Garage photo two days later...looks worse I know! I haven't taken a photo today, but I am glad to say that we are almost able to park a car in there now! Most of the stuff has found its rightful place inside & the garage is now mainly full of empty boxes...Anyone need boxes???
Reading with Yaya, both sets of our parents were HUGE helps throughout the moving process! Thank you!!!
We were blessed to enjoy several meals brought over by dear friends to help us out! Drew LOVED Celia's chocolate chip cookies! (Can I get the recipe?)
A couple of the nights last week were cooler, so we enjoyed burning a real wood fire in the fireplace!
Finger lickin' good!
The pantry/laundry room was one of the last rooms to get unpacked because so many boxes were stacked in there that it was nearly impossible to open the cabinets...but it is finally coming together, the last pantry box was unpacked tonight!
Drew snuggling with Mommy...just a day or two before turning 1!!!
Birthday post is coming soon! Also, more "after" photos of how the house looks now without all of the boxes! Whew, we are finally starting to breathe a bit easier! There is still a LOT to do, but we are SO thankful to be here, to be HOME! But I am exhausted & up way too late, so I will sign-off for now!
