It was absolutely wonderful meeting The Nester, and all of the other non-killers who came to her house to marvel in its beauty, to oohhh and ahhh over her decorating genius, and to see the Blessings Unlimited presentation.
Blessings Unlimited is the home decor branch off of the DaySpring tree. I had not seen many products prior to the party, but they have a TON of wonderful things! I really had a difficult time narrowing down just what to buy, but I decided on the pretty Grace Alone print to hang in my office. I thought it would always have just the right words that I need to hear at any given moment. (I would show you a photo, but I don't have one, but you can see it over on the Nester's blog.) I also purchased a couple of the Birthday Books which my friend Michelle highlights on her new blog...be sure to check it out! I will use one for Drew, and I'm not sure if I will give the other one for a gift....or keep it & purchase 2 more so that I can have one for all 4 kids!
Last, I bought a cool Armor of God puzzle for the kids because Jack's Sunday school group (1st & 2nd graders) has been memorizing the passage from Ephesians on the Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-20.) He was one of the first to memorize it completely and recite it in front of the group! I was learning it along with him, but then he learned the rest all on his own, so I need to catch up!
There was soooooo much more I wanted to buy, but now I'm hoping to host my own Gathering later in the summer...stay tuned!
Now get this, on top of getting to visit with the Nester; getting to meet her super cool sister, Emily; meeting the blog-famous June, and many other wonderful ladies; the Nester/DaySpring also gave away almost all of the products displayed at the party! How generous is that! So, I came home with a very lovely set of hand towels that each say "Clean hands, pure heart."
Here is one of them looking all cheery in my laundry room!
Well, I must wrap this up, it's a big day tomorrow with special presentations in Jack's class, but be sure to fly over to the Nesting Place to see more photos from the Gathering...I even made it into some of the pictures on her blog! Oh, I must add that the Nester is the most kind & genuine person, she really did greet everyone with a warm welcome & a big hug (that's actually me in the photo!) It was a little intimidating walking into a room of beautiful ladies, most of whom have wonderful & successful blogs, but everyone was so nice! So, in addition to being inspired to be more intentional with my own blog, I've discovered a slew of new blogs to follow. And, well, you just can't leave the Nest without being inspired to do a little sprucing up at home, too! Thank you, Nester, for a delightful afternoon all around...I'm so glad that you aren't a killer either!
