Well, things are continuing to move along on our house, but unfortunately the move is being pushed back a few days...apparently, all that snow covering lots of the US has caused back-orders & shipping delays on our carpet, so it will not be installed until the first of next week...SO that makes moving this weekend out of the question...I am disappointed because I am so ready to be there & ready to be settled & ready to not have this huge thing called "the move" hanging over my head, BUT I am glad to know that God is in control & has a reason for the delays...and I guess the extra time can't hurt since all of these boxes sitting over here have yet to figure out how to pack themselves, talk about a bummer!
Anyway, these pictures are all from before our "big snow" & more progress has been made since then, but I just wanted to go ahead & post these for posterity.

I think that lighting fixtures went up today, so hopefully I can get some photos of those soon! I keep reminding myself that a few more days are hardly significant in the overall scheme of things...now if I can just get this house packed up, talk about a task with some significance!

Oh Melanie! I'm so bummed for you! I know you are just itching to get in there and setted as a home! I will be praying that it will be soon!!! I do have to say...the house looks GORGEOUS!!! So great! You picked awesome colors!!! They all look great together! It'll def be worth the wait!
Waiting is sooooooooo hard, especially when your heart is in all these details and you have been anticipating life in your new place. I know that so well. The house is beautiful!! I am jealous for the laundry room (I may have mentioned that before!). And I forgot to tell you before... when my parents built their house in CA, my mom had a huge island installed... her countertop for that island was reclaimed bowling alley floor! It was an incredible butcher block surface! I think you will enjoy your wood countertops, too! Blessings!!

I completely understand the waiting part. I have been there MANY times. It will be all worth it. The house is looking fabulous.

Your house looks fantastic. I love looking at reno pictures and yours doesn't disappoint. I am surprised how different the outside looks from the first time I saw it posted. I can't wait to see more. Sorry you are having to wait - I know that must be frustrating.
