Darcy enjoying one of Daddy's softball games. We spent one evening a week out at the ball fields cheering on Jeff's team & letting all the kids run around & play. It was always a highlight of the week!
Darcy walking with Grandpa, extra time with the grandparents is always a wonderful summer perk!
Drew, just being cute, and in need of another haircut!
Drew enjoying the refreshments at a friend's birthday party! More M&Ms please!
Darcy being her cute self at a birthday party!
VBS Week! I spent the week teaching a class of 16 four & five year olds. It was great fun on our Faith Safari!
Here I am being wrapped up kind of like Jesus was wrapped before they put him in the tomb...and then I got to break out of the TP to represent Jesus rising from the dead!
Ah, 4th of July week at the Lake...here the kids are rushing straight out of the car to greet their cousins!
Fun with Nana
Jack getting driving lessons
Sophie at the helm!
Dinner out at a restaurant on the lake. The interior is very pine intensive...walls, tables, chairs & even the high-chairs!
Drinks served in mason jars
Darcy loves the chocolate milk!
Another beautiful sunset
We enjoyed a day in Columbia, SC visiting their EdVenture Science museum
The kids posing in front of "Eddie" the worlds largest boy
Checking out all of the exhibits
The girls try their hands at dentistry. Darcy finds it great fun!
Life-size Operation game
This exhibit was pretty neat...huge magnetic gears that the kids could move all around & connect.
Big tractor tire
And I will leave you with this cute shot of my two boys...mainly because for some reason blogger isn't allowing me to upload any more photos, I keep getting an error message.
Stay tuned for the next installment of Our Summer in Pictures......

ooohhh... never heard of edventure in columbia, but you can bet it's now on my short list of day trips for the near future! the pics at the lake are great - so happy you have that quick escape from home where kids can play and you can somewhat relax.
What a wonderful summer!!!! I'm missing it already. Just dropped Alden off at preschool today, sigh-We were just in Columbia but I did not know about that museum, thanks for sharing, we'll have to check it out. We did make it to the zoo while we were there!
What wonderful pictures Melanie!!! You all DID have a great summer! I too can't believe it's over!
These are great pictures!!! However, I think my favorite one is the one of Drew asking for more m&m's. His expression is priceless...not to mention the chocolate on his mouth!
Loved all of your wonderful pictures. It looks like you had a full and fantastic summer.
