Sweet, sweet baby...

I hold her & I want to weep. 

Tears welling up, heart overflowing with joy that she is ours. 

That she has been given to us, 

lovingly knit together with purpose & a plan. 

Created to be a precious & adored little sister.

 The one who broke the tie & tipped the scales towards pink. 

Number five, our full house...

A few days after you were born, someone asked if it's still a miracle. 

Undoubtedly, yes! And even more so...

The love, the joy, the fun, surely multiplied far more than five-fold. 

The weight that after nine months was becoming so heavy, 

now feels so perfect nestled on my chest. 

Every coo, 

each precious face,

every sweet smile...

So new, so perfect, so full of pure joy!

You fill our hearts with joy! 

From the tip of your sweet flower topped head..

...down to your this-little-piggies toesies.

Your big brothers & big sisters adore you! 

(Mommy & Daddy are pretty smitten, too!)

They take such pure delight in every new smile, each precious gurgle.

(I have been assured many times that you've spoken your first word!)

Sweet Lucy Jane you turned 3 months old a few days ago, and all I can say is we love you more with each passing day. You have been sleeping through the night for 5 or 6 weeks now & I actually miss being able to snuggle you during wee-hour feedings. 

(But I am thankful for the sleep!)

 We can hardly remember our family before you were here. 

We pray for you daily...for the girl, the young lady & the woman you will become...and we most definitely praise God for the sweet, sweet baby that you are today.
