Random fun on a Thursday night

Today was a fairly normal day...taking kids to school (drop-offs in the rain for the 3rd day in a row, but finally the sun came out this afternoon!), running an errand, picking kids up from school (twice, two kids each at two schools), homework (Yes, it is fall break tomorrow & we are looking forward to a nice four day weekend, but I still made my kids do their homework today. I'm mean like that.), snacks, playtime, showers, dinner (Drew screaming because playtime trumps dinner in his book), cleaning up from dinner, kids getting ready for bed...but since tomorrow is a break for the older two (Darcy still has preschool tomorrow), it was nice to be a little more relaxed with their actual bedtime tonight...and that is precisely when an ordinary day became extraordinary! It really is the little, everyday moments that fill my heart with joy. To see my kids loving each other, playing together, teaching each other, being silly, encouraging one another, laughing at their own inside jokes, looking out for one another...those are the things that make this mama proud & thankful & humbled to have been given these five precious, precious gifts!
 Sweet & tender moments with a sweet baby sister
 Being silly
 Lots of love

 Sister-to-sister chats
 Encouragement
Exploring the wildlife up close
 And story time

 Lucy found the story riveting!

A real page-turner!

 Okay, LOVE all these little piggies!

{Drew wasn't left out of the fun on purpose, but he didn't have a nap today, so he was already in bed sound asleep when the fun happened. No worries, he's sure to be right in the middle of it tomorrow!}
