Time Travel Tuesday

After a pretty photo intensive weekend, I gave my camera the day off. Today was just a regular Tuesday. Beautiful fall weather. Busy, for sure with school(s) & Bible Study & school pick-ups & carpool & snacks &  cooking dinner (I did make a killer banana pudding for dessert!) & mediating arguments & monitoring homework & listening to reading & brushing teeth & wiping bottoms & making lunches & LOTS of hand washing & sweeping & counter wiping & lunch making & snack packing & clothes washing & outfit selecting. (One day I'd like to do one of those posts where you take a photo of what you are doing every hour at the same time as a little photo story of your day, but not today.) So somewhere around the dinner cooking portion of the day, I thought the lack of new content today would make it fun to do a little blog flash-back. I decided to look back seven years & see what we were up to on this day seven years ago...
First thing I determined was, wow, I took far fewer photos 7 years ago! And I organized them differently, as well. But as much as has changed since then, that Monday seven years ago was probably not all that different from my day today. We were living in our townhouse in Chicago. Sophie was coming up on 4 months old, Jack was a few months shy of his 3rd birthday & I had just turned 30. I am sure my day was filled with feedings & changing diapers & picking-up toys & more. I would have corresponded via email at the computer, but no Facebook, blogging or Pinterest! (I may have read a book to pass the time! ;-)
And what good is a flash-back post without some pictures to make it real...so here are a few shots of us just living life back in 2004.
Jack practicing his photography skills...he needed a bit of help centering things!
Sophie was well looked after by Jack & he loved to make her laugh...still does!
I love looking back at Sophie's hair all sticking straight up
Super buddies, Caleb, Jack & Noah. Some of Jack's first little friends who came over for a play-date.
Speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil.
That October we took our 2nd annual apple picking trip with our Sunday School class.
Jack & Anna discussing politics
This picture of Jack reminds me of Drew & also reminds me to look for this hat! It was always one of my favorites & would look adorable on Drew!
Jack trying to hatch his pumpkin!?!
Hope you have enjoyed this little walk down memory lane! I will sign-off now before I fall asleep at my desk. This "normal" Tuesday has worn me out!

It's so weird to think that 2004 was SEVEN years ago...doesn't it just feel like a few? Jack's cheeks are so cute! I just want to snuggle him! Course, he would never let me do that now!!! Ha! Loved your blast from the past.
