All of our kids were still a bit tired this morning from the awesome Great Pumpkin Carve last night, but it was up & dressed for church first thing! We could tell by the attitudes in the car on the way home from church that mandatory nap time was in order. After a quick lunch, we got everyone down in their respective beds...and everyone took a good nap except for Sophie who just could not fall asleep. So she had to have some quiet time (playing or reading) in her room for at least an hour.
When we finally said it was okay for her to stop trying to sleep, she came out to help Jeff & I (mostly Jeff) clean our our van. She was a good little helper & soon enough Drew was awake & wanting to play outside with Sophie.
Just had to take a pic of the brilliant hickory tree in our front yard. The color has been beautiful this year!
Sweet sibling moments!
Sophie was helping Drew hit the ball when I pitched it to them.
After "baseball" they had fun making a "yummy" feast with PlayDoh
Tonight was also a special evening at church. The kids choir that Darcy sings in was performing in church. You have to be 4 to join the kids choir, so this is Darcy's first year. And today was their first time singing in front of the church!
Darcy getting ready to head up on stage...all smiles!
She did a FANtasstic job singing the butterfly song. We are so proud of our sweet Darcy girl! It was a very sweet moment!

I taught children's choir last night and Sophie was absolutely precious. Did exactly as she was asked and was so well-mannered. I enjoyed getting to fill in. You have such beautiful children!
Great photos Melanie. I wonder if the butterfly song is the same one that we used to sing at school when the JAARS missionaries came. BTW,in about 10 years those 6 or 7 little boys are going to be in heaven.
