Summer Memories...Fun with the Big Kids

And another catch-up post from the summer...
Having a fairly large family is sometimes wild, usually very loud, often a bit chaotic, and (temper-tantrums & bickering aside) always lots of fun! I really love to do things ALL together as a family, but we realize the importance of spending quality time one-on-one with each of our kids. Time to just hang out, have fun & do things that they enjoy doing. To that end, this summer we got passes to our local amusement park for ourselves, Jack & Sophie. Jack was finally tall enough this summer to ride everything in the park & Sophie was tall enough for 85% of the rides, so it worked out very well. We can also travel much lighter when we don't have to pack diapers, wipes & the works! Jeff's parents were so kind to watch the younger 3 & Jeff would take an afternoon off of work, so that we could enjoy the lighter crowds during the week. It worked out great & between a couple trips we rode pretty much everything we wanted to, and multiple times at that! Here are a few pictures from our outings, but I didn't take a lot of pics since it is cumbersome carrying a big camera on a roller coaster!
Sights set on fun times ahead!
One of our last rides of the day & we all got drenched. It is a ride that I remember fondly from my own childhood and the same sign hangs above the entrance to the ride...You will get wet, You may get soaked!

What fun & happy memories we made!
