*Okay, my head has seriously nodded off about three times since I've been sitting here at the computer tonight. It has been a long week, I'm thankful for Friday and a long weekend ahead, but I am tired! I don't want to end up with a huge knot on my head from it crashing into my desk...so I"m going to go with this post from the summer that was sitting my drafts folder 1/2 way done! Shortcut for a sleepy mom! {huge yawn as I typed that!}

This summer we have had the opportunity to enjoy some special celebrations with friends old & young, er--I mean old friends & new friends!

This summer we have had the opportunity to enjoy some special celebrations with friends old & young, er--I mean old friends & new friends!
Back in June we were able to attend the 1st birthday celebration for Jackson...he is the son of my very bestest friend & roommate all through college, Amy.
After a torrential downpour when we arrived at the party, the sun came out & it was a wonderful time!
Sweet Lu stayed cozy & dry!

Hanging out with Riley, the son of one of my best college friends.
Riley & Jack were born 5 days apart! {And his younger brother was born the day before Sophie!}
Drew found the water table right away, so he really didn't care if it was raining or not!
Sweetness, sweetness!!
The handsome birthday boy, preparing for his speech!
Whoo-hooo CAKE!
Drew is serious about some cake!!
We also have some super fun & creative friends who hosted a couples date night Minute-to-Win It style! Talk about a fun & hilarious evening...here see for yourselves!
We had 6 couples competing for the Minute-to-Win it championship!
Balloon toss, which couple can keep their balloons up in the air the longest!
It was so fun to see the different techniques people would try!
Next up, empty the tissue box as fast as you can!
Seeing all that tissue makes me have to...Aaa=choo! Have a great weekend!
Moving the cookie {or in our case marshmallow} from your forehead to your mouth...using only your face!
Lucy thinks thsese grown-ups are crazy!
Bouncing pin-pong walls in
Trying to get the pedometer to read the highest number
Shaking ping-pong balls out of the tissue boxes!
C'mon baby....let's do the twist!
Last, shooting rubber bands at a plastic cups, until they were all knocked down!
All the excitement wore Lucy out!
And speaking of worn out...my eyes will not stay open, my head keeps nodding off & I just re-read a sentence that made absolutely no sense.This tired mama is going to bed! More tomorrow!

How fun that your adult friends got to play games--getting the chance to be silly and do something reminiscent of childhood is an awesome way to fellowship!
By the way, your kids are absolutely adorable.
